Design

Dutch Design in Development >

Products and services from the growth markets in developing countries are often insufficiently suited to European needs.
To give small- and medium-sized businesses from these countries a better chance on the European market, DDiD wants to establish an exchange of expertise between Dutch designers, marketeers and communication specialists, and their colleagues in developing countries.

The principle works both ways: Dutch talent is inspired by the contact with colleagues, products and materials from other countries, and at the same time they open up new markets for businesses from the developing countries, with their knowledge and experience.

DDiD is an initiative of the NCDO, in co-operation with BNO, VEA and Premsela, and it is organised by Share People. For the supply of advice requests, DDiD co-operates with commercial and non-profit project partners.
