Bertjan Pot

Bertjan Pot has designed a gossamer-thin table impossible to make from wood. It turns out to be a steel construction, to which a thin layer of wood is glued on the outside. Pure imitation, therefore. "Some will see the Slim-Table as imitation, but it is very real and in fact extremely realistic. All materials are used for the right reasons: steel for a strong construction, aluminium for a sharp form and wood for a warm and attractive exterior. Without innovation, minimalism is a dead end."

Ineke Hans

For Arco's 100th birthday in 2005, Ineke Hans designed a special gift: a decorated chair, for "When it's your birthday as a child, your chair is always decorated. Then it really feels like a party". Simple in form and decorated all over with a sumptuous motif of leaves, applied on using a milling machine. Material: MDF, colour lacquered.
