Studio Job Via Tortona 54/56 Project Name: Home Work. Studio Job presents domestic Totems and Tableaux's made of bronze, glass and wood. With a genealogy somewhere between Duchamp and Koons, these seductive, pseudo-erotic objects, redolent with consumer desire, are neither purely Commodity nor purely Art, but dwell in an uneasy zone between object and objet d'art. Transmitting clear visual references to both classical sculpture and iconic design, these mutant works suggest a narrative and history and mythology, which, in fact, is never explained. The collection is produced in collaboration with the Groninger Museum in the Netherlands and New York design retailer Moss.
Project: Silver Ware Superstudio Più Bisazza Mosaic presents a number of furniture pieces and objects, enriched with mosaic, designed by Jaime Hayon and Studio Job. Authentic and unique art pieces, precious and ideal for private collections that can be exhibited in a museum, play the lead role in “Silver Ware”, the installation designed by Studio Job. An immaculate surrounding entwines eight out of scale pieces thoroughly clad in white gold mosaic: a Cake Platter, a Teapot, a Silver Spoon, a Tea Tray, a Basket, a Dish Cover, a Candle Holder and a Chandelier. The visitor's attention is captured by the surprising size of the sculptures that seem to float in a dreamlike space. In this am bia nce, the pieces shimmer as if they belonged to the fine family silverware collection, “brushed up” and proposed in a contemporary key, in an amazing gigantic format that will bring back to mind those memories from the past. An explosion of brightness and charm, invites the guests to discover these sculptures immersed in a surreal space, where getting captured and letting yourself go, where reality-meets-illusions is unavoidable.
