Chris Slutter Via Manzoni 23, 4th floor During the Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2007 Dutch designer Chris Slutter will present his new collection of furniture by the title ‘Narcissus’. A round mirror with inscription plays the key role in this project about appearance, confrontation, reflection and imagination.
Inspired by the round shape of the mirror is hanging lamp ‘Ring’. It is an unexpected fusion of the classic chandelier and the most archetypical shape of jewellery.
More sculptural is sideboard ‘Open’. This model will be the starting point of a series of cupboards in which a ‘crack’ forms a returning detail.
The last piece he designed for the presentation in Milan is chair ‘007’. The slanting angles in the frame and seat provide the chair a dynamic and tough look.
